EJ Foxx is no ‘newcomer’ to the Eastern Shore. 30 years ago, her love for The Beach, Community AND COUNTRY MUSIC, brought her here, after being in the Baltimore/ Washington Radio Market for 15 years. She landed at the legendary WICO-FM which later became CAT COUNTRY, her beloved home behind the Mic for 23 years. Over the years EJ’s authentic, warm and friendly approach became her signature on air AND off. She is able to capture the loyalty of listeners through relatable stories and a positive attitude. She says, “Radio gives you an opportunity to get lost in the music you love and inspire those around you.” Regardless of the fact that she has earned the Nickname LUCY (for her crazy antics), her poise and professionalism is first and foremost. Despite her many accomplishments and awards in the industry, she is most proud of her involvement in the Community with various non-profit organizations… The Humane Soc. of Wicomico Co, Women Supporting Women Breast Cancer Awareness, U.S. Kennels, (training and providing Service Dogs for disabled Vets) Operation We Care and the beloved Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House By The Sea, which provides temporary housing for critically ill children and their families during their most difficult battle with Cancer. When Cat Country dissolved, she was thrilled to be able to work part-time for GSB Media, but at the time WOW was still in the designing and planning stage…preparing the best Retro Country playlist and getting ready be in the forefront of the Delmarva Community at every level.
